1. The word Audi in Latin means "Listen".

after parting ways with A. Horch and Cie. in 1899, Horch decided to form another company and named it August Horch Automobilwerke GmbH. But dues to legal issues and copyright infringement issues, Horch was asked to drop 'Horch' from the company name. He ultimately used 'Audi' as the final name, which is Latinization of Horch and means 'listen' in Latin.



2. The four rings in the logo represent the four companies of the Auto Union.

3.  Audi is actually 110 years,10 months old! It will celebrate its 111th birthday on 25 August 2021.



4.As of 2015, there are around 85,000 employees of Audi. There are two divisions of Audi – Audi e-tron and Audi India. Audi e-tron focusses on hybrid and electric cars.



5. The logo of Audi is supposedly inspired by the logo of Olympics.


6. In 1949, the work of Audi resumed with Ingolstadt as its headquarters.


7.Google threw a challenge called ‘Lunar XPRIZE’ to the car manufacturers for the prize of $30 million!

 They challenged any car manufacturer to build a Lunar Rover which can drive on moon for at least 500 meters and send a HD live feed from the surface!



8.The second car company to introduce left hand drive cars is Audi. The first one is Ford.
